Youngster found with toy handgun apprehended at Fortress Hill MTR station
A 13-year-old boy who held a toy handgun at Fortress Hill MTR station has been apprehended.
Police received a report at 4pm that there was a suspicious youngster in the compartment who appeared to be holding a handgun.
Police officers rush to the MTR station in body armours and armed with sub-machine guns. They apprehended the youngster who holding the gun, which after inspection was confirmed to be a toy handgun.
The 13-year-old boy is under investigation.
Under the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance, the possession of imitation guns, such as props or airsoft guns, is punishable by up to two years in jail.
