Workers for designated quarantine hotels, including coach bus drivers who have yet to be vaccinated for Covid-19, will have to undergo testing once every three days.
Fully vaccinated workers will have to undergo testing once a week.
The arrangements came as the government tightened testing requirements for specified groups of workers today.

Workers at restaurants, bars and re-opened scheduled premises like karaoke establishments and party rooms will have to undergo testing once a week. The same goes for practitioners working at Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse and airport staff. Fully vaccinated airport staff who are not members of “targeted groups” need to undergo testing every 14 days.
Staff of designated scheduled premises like gyms, theaters and museums and public and private swimming pools will have to undergo testing once every two weeks, as do construction site workers and school staff.
The above specified workers can only book tests for free if they have yet to complete a
Covid-19 vaccination course or are unfit for vaccination due to medical reasons. They must present valid medical certificates, vaccination records or identity proof.
Starting September, workers who are not unfit or vaccination because of health reasons will need to pay HK$240 for each test. The free testing arrangement will be available until the end of September.
