A woman who appeared to have quarreled with her boyfriend walked to the middle of Cheung Sha Wan Road.
The incident on Sunday was captured on two car camera videos and uploaded to YouTube.
The first film showed a private car driving along Cheung Sha Wan Road. When it approached Cheung Sha Wan Plaza, a woman with long hair and a short dress jaywalked and stood in the middle of the road.
Fortunately, approaching cars managed to brake in time. Some of the cars and buses stopped half a body's length away from her.
Another driver uploaded a follow-up video later, which showed the woman was fidgeting with her phone in the middle of the road – seeming to not be aware of the danger she was in.
Then a man in a blue sweatshirt ran towards the woman and tried to push her back to the pedestrian pavement.
The two kept struggling against each other, with the man grabbing the woman's arm and the woman throwing his hands away. After they finally returned to a safe spot, they continued to quarrel.
Netizens criticized the woman for her actions, saying that she should not behave recklessly even if she was angry.
