Woman sandwiched in Tsuen Wan crash; at least four people hospitalized
A 23-year-old woman was sent to hospital after she was sandwiched in between a wall and a car in Tsuen Wan on Thursday night. The incident also saw three others, including two girls, hospitalized.
The incident occurred at around 7pm at an intersection between Wing Shun Street and Yi Hong Street in Tsuen Wan as a black private car crashed head-on into a white seven-seater.
The white seven-seater then mounted onto the sidewalk and hit the wall of a school nearby. A 23-year-old woman who didn’t dodge in time was then trapped in between, triggering passers-by to call the police.
Cops and firefighters soon arrived and successfully rescued the woman. The woman sustained bone fractures to her limbs and was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital.
In the meantime, the 38-year-old female driver of the black private car was arrested for dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. She and two girls onboard the vehicle were all sent to Yan Chai Hospital.
Both vehicles were towed away by authorities and police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
The male driver of the white seven-seater also stayed at the scene to aid police investigation.
