An arrest warrant is out for former district councilor Kwok Tsz-kin for inciting others not to vote during the 2021 Legislative Council election while he was in his self-exile in the United Kingdom.
A judge issued the warrant at the request of the Independent Commission Against Corruption during a similar case against a female former office assistant of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, who did so on social media.
Fanny Wong Pui-kwan, 48, is alleged to have shared a post on nine social media groups. An investigation later revealed that the post shared by Wong originated from Kwok.
Kwok, 32, is facing 13 counts of engaging in illegal conduct to incite another person not to vote during the election.
He allegedly displayed three posts on 13 occasions, including various social media pages and groups and a channel of a messaging group, inciting others not to vote during the election, including the one Wong shared.
Wong has been granted bail pending her court appearance today for a plea.
