Officers of Traffic East Kowloon were carrying out an operation to combat reckless driving and speeding when they saw a sedan driving at high speed on Kwun Tong Bypass, which initiated the chase.

The car was finally intercepted near the entrance of the Eastern Harbour Crossing, and the female driver was charged with speeding and reckless driving.

It was later revealed that the 30-year-old female driver, surnamed Lin, was wanted due to non-payment of traffic fine and failing to appear in a court hearing. She is currently out on bail pending investigation.
