Walk-in vaccination expanded for elderly aged 65 or above

The Department of Health announced that Sinovac walk-in vaccination will be expanded for persons aged 65 or above.
Starting from August 9 and till September 30, Lam Tin Elderly Health Centre, Kwai Shing Elderly Health Centre, and Tseung Kwan O Elderly Health Center will provide vaccination service without prior bookings for all elderly aged 65 or above.

Elders can get their jabs from 9am to 12.15pm and from 2 pm to 4.45 pm from Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

In addition, all elderly health centres are now providing vaccination services for members aged 65 or above on the day of consultation.

These centres will provide further walk-in vaccination services for their members without prior booking starting from August 2, from 11am to noon and from 3.30pm to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday, except for public holidays.

Patients are required to present their HKID upon registration and daily quotas are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Staff at the centres will schedule the date and time of the second dose for the elderly at the time of their first dose.

Residents can also make appointments at 29 community vaccination centres or 26 general out-patient clinics of the Hospital Authority through the appointment system on the designated website.

They can also make their appointments with private doctors or clinics participating in the vaccination programme.

The Department of Health said that experts recommend that all elderly people who have previously received influenza vaccines can receive Covid-19 vaccines safely.

For inquiries, residents can call relevant centers during service hours or visit the designated website.
