Visitor arrivals to HK drop almost 100pc in January
The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that there were 4,368 provisional visitor arrivals in January, amounting to a year-on-year decrease of 99.9 percent.
The board said a new round of activities will be launched in view of the social-distancing measures being gradually relaxed.
“A new round of ‘free tour’ programs will also include the hotel sector, which will follow the model of the first round of activities to encourage local spending and generate a chain of consumption,” the board said, adding that details will be announced in due course.
