(Video) See for yourself as Hong Kong open for business
Come see for yourself as the city is open for business – this is the key message Hong Kong wishes to bring to the international business community, said financial secretary Paul Chan Mo-po on Wednesday.
“We want to tell the international world that Hong Kong is back, Hong Kong is open for business. And they come look at this place, see for themselves how resilient and vibrant this city is,” Chan said in an interview with RTHK on the long-awaited Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit.
“Through the discussions this morning (Wed), they will have a better idea as to the opportunities here and in the regions.”
“I think that would be very important in the planning of their future investment and the business opportunities in the entire Asia.”
The finance chief continued with the benefits of international corporations coming to Hong Kong for listing, including attracting mainland investors to buy their shares and to provide extra support.
The city serves to bridge and help the international business community to access mainland’s market as well, Chan added.
