Two more women arrested for gold necklace robbery in Sham Shui Po
Two more mainland women were on Thursday arrested as they were found to have lured an elderly man into having lunch together but robbed him of a gold necklace in Sham Shui Po.
Sources said the two women, both from Hubei, were aged 46 and 50 and arrived in Hong Kong on a two-way permit Tuesday. They approached a 60-year-old man in Sham Shui Po Thursday afternoon and attempted to lure him by offering sexual services.
Yet, the man turned down their sex offer and only agreed to their massage services.
The three then headed to a fast food restaurant, where one of the women grabbed the man’s gold necklace worth about HK$20,000 while another offered the massage.
The duo soon fled the scene but were intercepted by police officers nearby who found them acting strangely.
They were then arrested as officers searched their bags and found the gold necklace robbed from the elderly man. Further investigations also revealed they were involved in two gold necklace robberies within just three days of arrival.
This followed police arresting five mainland men and women who lured elderly men and assaulted them in their private parts in order to rob them of valuables.
The arrest tally for relevant “nut-cracking” robberies stands at seven so far.
