Two men arrested for assault in Ngau Tau Kok love triangle-turned-brawl
An extra-marital affair turned into a brawl on Monday night after the wife claimed she was bullied by her lover and called her husband for “help.” Both the lover and husband were sent to hospital after the fight and arrested for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The drama first unfolded as the 30-year-old wife surnamed Wu visited her 22-year-old lover surnamed Yeung, who lived at a partition flat on the 3/F of Kwun Tong Lap Shing Building in Ngau Tau Kok around 11pm last night.
The two, both a masseur, had an argument over relationship issues and Wu called her husband surnamed Lo, a 50-year-old logistic worker, claiming she was being bullied. Lo soon rushed to the scene and grabbed a mop to hit Yeung in the face.
Yeung also fought back by throwing punches at Lo. As the brawl continued, Wu attempted to separate the duo but in vain. She became emotional and once climbed out of the window to the laundry rack.
Neighbors nearby immediately filed a police report after they spotted Wu in a dangerous position and thought she was about to jump off the building.
Police later arrived at the scene and Wu had returned inside the flat already at that time. Officers then separated Lo and Yeung, who sustained injuries to their face and hands. The two were both arrested for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
All three of them were sent to United Christian Hospital. The case is now handled by Sau Mau Ping district crime investigation team.
It is understood that Wu and Lo have been married for about 10 years, and Yeung is Wu’s colleague.
There were also rumors that the husband was tailing his wife and busted the wife’s secret affair with her lover.
