Two bus routes to be put into use for crossing TKO-LT Tunnel
The Transport Department announced on Tuesday that two cross-harbor bus routes will be used in March for passengers to travel through the Tseung Kwan O and Lam Tin Tunnel.
The routes will be run by Bus No.690S and 694S. 690S will travel through Hang Hau, Wan Po Road, Oscar By the Sea, The Beaumont, and LOHAS Park, crossing the TKO-LT Tunnel to stop in Central.
Meanwhile, 694S will start from Tiu Keng Leng, through Tong Chun Street, Wan Po Road, Oscar By the Sea, The Beaumont, and LOHAS Park, traveling to Siu Sai Wan via TKO-LT Tunnel.
Both routes will be tentatively available during the morning peak hours only, with two trips departing at 8 am and 8.15 am.
"It won’t meet the demand for commuters with only two trips provided," said Lawmaker Christine Fong Kwok-shan, "more trips should be arranged for a three-month trial."
