Two boys arrested for setting classmate’s Tsuen Wan home on fire over dispute
Two 14-year-old boys were arrested on Monday after they allegedly sneaked into their classmate's home at Lei Muk Shue Estate and set fire to the curtains and a pillow in retaliation over a dispute between them.
The incident happened at around 5am this morning, with neighbors sprang into action after noticing the fire, helped dousing the flame and filed a report to the police. No one was hurt in the incident.
Police officers who responded to the scene canvassed the estate and later intercepted the duo, seizing one lighter from them.
The force’s initial investigation revealed that the two had been in a dispute with their 13-year-old classmate who lives at the flat.
The two were arrested for arson and were currently detained for further investigation.
