Two arrested after botched robbery at Tsim Sha Tsui bank
Two men, including one wielding a butterfly knife, were arrested on Tuesday morning after they attempted to rob a Bank of China branch in Tsim Sha Tsui, but failed.
The duo stormed into the Kimberley Road branch at 11.49am Tuesday with one of them brandishing his butterfly knife at a staffer, saying it was a robbery.
The staffer secretly rang the silent alarm, and officers were soon mobilized to the scene. The duo was swiftly subdued and arrested by officers for attempted robbery before being taken to a police station.
There was no monetary loss, and the police investigation is ongoing.
