Twenty-two Sheung Shui students sent to hospital over irritating odor
Twenty-two students in Sheung Shui were sent to hospital on Tuesday morning as they fell sick and some even vomited over a weird odor in the area.
The 11 boys and 11 girls, including one primary school student, were aged 10 to 17. They were sent to North District Hospital, Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po and Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long.
Staffers of Fung Kai No.1 Secondary School filed a report around 10am and said the weird odor came from the ground floor of the school.
It was understood that least 50 teachers and students evacuated to the school hall as many were also irritated by the odor.
Firefighters soon came but they also couldn’t locate where the weird odor originated after preliminary investigations. They are still searching for the source of the weird odor.
