Twelve schools named in compulsory testing notice
Students and teachers of 11 kindergartens and nurseries, as well as those from a Tuen Mun primary school, have to undergo mandatory Covid-19 testing after they experienced outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infections or influenza-like illnesses.
Since the symptoms of the diseases are similar to those of Covid-19, for prudence’s sake, the schools or their specified grade levels are covered in the compulsory testing notice.
The notice will cover anyone who had been present at the schools for more than two hours from October 26 to November 8. They have to undergo testing by November 10.
Among those named are ESF International Kindergarten in Wu Kai Sha and two Yuen Long Church (CCC) Chan Kwong Kindergarten in Yuen Long. Primary one students of Tuen Mun Government Primary School also have to undergo tests.
