Tsim Sha Tsui shop robbed of 50 luxury watches, losses totaling over HK$10m
Police are now hunting down four robbers who broke into a watch shop in Tsim Sha Tsui on Saturday afternoon and grabbed 50 luxurious wristwatches and cash worth more than HK$10 million.
The robbery occurred around 3.35pm at an upstairs watch shop at WK Square, next to Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The four knife-wielding Southeast Asians wore reflective safety vests commonly seen at construction sites as they stormed into the shop. Two of them even had their safety helmets on.
The four robbed the shop of 49 Rolex watches, a Patek Philippe watch, and some HK$30,000 cash, with losses totaling over HK$10 million. They then jumped into a black Toyota and headed towards New Territories.
The robbers also took away the smartphone from a staffer, the GPS position of which was last seen near The Waterfront by Lin Cheung Road in West Kowloon.
