Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant robbed of HK$180,000 cash and Maotai liquor
A popular restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui was burgled Monday morning, with HK$180,000 in cash and luxury liquor found missing.
An employee of Greenland Spicy Crab, located on Ashley Road, discovered the restaurant door was pried open at around 10.30 am.
He immediately notified the owner, surnamed Chan, and reported to the police.
After the preliminary investigation, police estimated HK$180,000 in cash and some bottles of alcohol, including Maotai, which were worth a total of HK$60,000 were stolen.
Officers checked the CCTV footage and targeted two suspects wearing caps who entered the restaurant at 3.20 am.
Greenland Spicy Crab is a famous restaurant with photos of the owner Chan and various Hong Kong celebrities, such as Nicholas Tse and Raymond Lam, all over the store walls.
