The back of a truck caught fire this afternoon, causing the driver to abandon the vehicle to escape.
The incident happened around noon on Thursday when the back end of a truck parked near Kwai Wing Road suddenly caught on fire, billowing plumes of smoke into the air.
The firefighters later arrived to douse the flames, but most of the goods were already burnt to a cinder.
A dash cam video from another car showed smoke coming from the back of the truck before the fire started, along with the driver honking the horn multiple times to warn the truck driver, but to no avail.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
