An employee discovered a woman stealing a bedsheet and towel from their store on Shun Ning Road at around 10 am and chased her into the alley of Fat Tseung Street, where she was caught.

Police arrested the 40-year-old woman, surnamed Wong, on suspicion of theft. Officers recovered the stolen bedsheet and towel, worth HK$700 and HK$100, respectively.

Wong was seen bursting into tears after being arrested. It is understood that she rented a serviced apartment on Fat Tseung Street.
