Tour historic buildings during Heritage Fiesta
Citizens can explore revitalized historic buildings in free guided tours in the Heritage Fiesta to start next Wednesday.
The fiesta, to be held from next Wednesday to October 31, will feature 11 government-owned revitalized buildings.
They include Old Tai O Police Station, which has turned into Tai O Heritage Hotel; Lui Seng Chun in Mong Kok, now a Chinese medicine healthcare center run by the Hong Kong Baptist University; and Mei Ho House in Shek Kip Mei, now a youth hostel.
The free tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The public can also visit the buildings during their opening hours and collect uniquely designed stamps.
“The revitalization projects of government-owned historic buildings featured in this event showcase the concerted conservation efforts between the government and non-profit-making organizations. We wish to encourage the public to understand their histories and architectural features through the event,” a spokesman for the Commissioner for Heritage's Office of the Development Bureau said.
Pamphlets of the two events would be available at the participating historic buildings, exhibition venues and different museums in Hong Kong.
They could also be collected at the Hong Kong Tourism Board's visitor centers in Tsim Sha Tsui, at the Peak and Hong Kong International Airport.

3. YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel (Mei Ho House)
4. Jao Tsung-I Academy (Former Lai Chi Kok Hospital)
5. Green Hub (Old Tai Po Police Station)
6. Stone Houses Family Garden (Stone Houses)
7. Viva Blue House (The Blue House Cluster)
8. Hong Kong News-Expo (Bridges Street Market)
9. HKFYG Leadership Institute (Former Fanling Magistracy)
10. Haw Par Music (Haw Par Mansion)
11. PMQ (Former Police Married Quarters on Hollywood Road)
