Tickets selling fast as long-haul express rail services to gradually resume Saturday
Ticket sales for Hong Kong’s long-haul express rail services to mainland China have opened Tuesday ahead of its first phase of service resumption this Saturday, with tickets selling fast.
The government previously announced that long-haul express rail services will resume in two phases from March 11. In the first phase, trains will go to and from Chaoshan, Shantou, and Zhaoqingdong.
According to the mainland's official train ticket-selling website, 12306, three trains will be departing from Hong Kong to Chaoshan this Saturday.
As of 9am, except for the second-class seats, only a few were left for the business class and first-class seats.
Meanwhile, tickets for trains departing Hong Kong for Shantou have all been sold out for Saturday. As for trains heading to Zhaoqingdong, all ticket types were still available online.
