Three-day quarantine for non-Come2hk travelers from the mainland
The Hong Kong government reduced the seven-day home quarantine for mainland travelers coming from outside Guangdong province to three days, plus four days of self-medical surveillance.
They were not subject to the new amber health code restrictions. Relevant persons who have arrived in Hong Kong earlier and are under home quarantine can be considered to have completed their isolation after 9.00am on the third day of their arrival in Hong Kong.
No quarantine is required currently for passengers traveling from Guangdong under the Come2hk scheme.
The government announced on Monday that the quarantine period for inbound travelers will be shortened to three days starting Friday, plus four days of medical surveillance at home.
The four days of health monitoring carry relatively loose rules, with travelers only unable to visit high-risk places like restaurants and bars. They can still leave their homes with their masks up at all times and are allowed to take public transport to work, enter shopping malls, etc.
