Thirteen customers in Tsim Sha Tsui fined for not using LeaveHomeSafe
A total of 13 customers in five bars and restaurants were fined for not scanning the LeaveHomeSafe QR code nor filling in customers' information records yesterday.
Three people in charge of the outlets were issued summons.
The police, together with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, conducted inspections of restaurants, bars and party rooms in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday to remind the operators, staff and the public to strictly comply with the prevention of disease regulations.
They found seven men and six women, aged 22 to 44, in a bar on Hart Avenue, a restaurant on Prat Avenue and three restaurants on Hau Fook Street who did not scan the LeaveHomeSafe QR code or fill in a form to leave their information.
Three persons in charge, a 42-year-old man and two women aged 25 and 34, were issued summons after the customers breached the social distancing rules according to the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Cap 599F).
The police reminded that customers should strictly comply with the relevant regulations to take prevention measures, minimize social gatherings and avoid crowded places.
The Police will also continue inspections with other departments to ensure strict compliance with the relevant regulations and take enforcement action against violations to reduce the risk of infections.
