Taxi driver arrested for allegedly raping drunk passenger
A taxi driver was arrested after he allegedly raped a drunk passenger while taking her to Kowloon City.
The police received a call from an 18-year-old female yesterday stating that a cab driver raped her.
The woman could not handle her alcohol after a night of drinking with her friends and hailed a taxi to get back home.
After the intoxicated woman boarded the taxi from Mong Kok, the driver drove her to Kowloon City, where he stopped the car and headed to the backseat to rape the victim.
After an investigation, police have arrested the 36-year-old taxi driver on suspicion of rape.
