Taiwanese woman arrested for cutting boyfriend who woke up late and missed Disneyland date
A 20-year-old Taiwanese woman was arrested in the early hours on Tuesday after she suspectedly slashed her boyfriend with a razor because he woke up late and couldn't go to Disneyland with her.
She sustained an injury to her hand from an eyebrow razor.
The case was reported to police by a staffer at a Mong Kok hotel on Prince Edward Road West at around 3am after spotting blood stains on the couple and worrying the two attempted suicide.
The Taiwanese couple was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital, and police arrested the woman for wounding after investigations.
It was understood that the young woman was enraged by her 28-year-old boyfriend, who woke up late and didn't accompany her to Disneyland on Monday. The two also dined out separately at night.
As the woman had some drinks and returned to the hotel, she and the boyfriend started another argument. This time, she grabbed and wielded a razor, slashing the boyfriend in his back and hands. She also cut her wrist with an eyebrow razor.
Although the boyfriend had no intent to report to the police, the brawl was revealed by a hotel staffer who arrived in their room to offer room service but found blood stains on the couple.
Paramedics soon came and sent the two to the hospital.
It is understood that the woman suffers from emotional issues.
The case is now handled by the Mong Kok district crime squad.
