Suspected burglar falls to his death while scaling Sham Shui Po building
A 22-year-old man, suspected to be a burglar, fell off a Sham Shui Po building he was climbing and was pronounced dead after he was rushed to hospital on Friday.
He was first spotted on an air conditioner on a wall on the third floor of Choi Lan House by several residents around 8.14 am this morning.
Residents filed a complaint to the police, who arrived on the scene only to find the suspected burglar had fallen onto a platform on the first floor and was unconscious.
He was rushed to Caritas Medical Center but was eventually pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old man, named Lam, was revealed to be a Hong Kong permanent resident and was not one of the tenants of the building.
Live sources said it was possible that Lam was climbing the walls of the building to commit burglary but accidentally fell to his death.
