The Hospital Authority is to extend the special visiting arrangement to 12 acute and specialist hospitals from next Wednesday for people who completed Covid-19 vaccination for 14 days.
They can pay visits without further testing.
Visitors who are not vaccinated or are unsuitable to receive
vaccines can only visit through compassionate arrangements or visual visits.
All the visitors are required to fill out a health declaration form within 24 hours before entering the hospital, wear a mask, take their temperature, and scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code when they arrive.
The hospital will arrange to visit for patients hospitalized for more than a week and are suitable for visits based on the overall operation of the ward.
One to two visits will be allowed per week, with each limited to one person for a maximum of an hour. Patients who need a higher level of care may receive more visits.
The 12 acute and specialist hospitals include Ruttonjee Hospital, St. John Hospital, Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Hong Kong Children's Hospital, Hong Kong Eye Hospital, Caritas Medical Centre, North Lantau Hospital, Yan Chai Hospital, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, North District Hospital, Pok Oi Hospital, Tin Shui Wai Hospital.
The arrangement will be further extended to other major acute hospitals such as Queen Mary Hospital by the end of the month if it is implemented smoothly.
