A special set of stamps celebrating Hong Kong's Olympic success will be up for grabs starting this Thursday.
Hongkong Post has issued a special set of stamps to congratulate the outstanding achievements of Hong Kong athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The stamp sheetlet and associated philatelic products will be on sale at all post offices on Thursday (Oct 28). It will also be available for sale at the Hongkong Post's online shop ShopThruPost from 8am on the same day.
The stamps display the five events that the Hong Kong team received medals for at the Games. All of the Olympic medalists were featured in the commemorative stamp sheetlet.
The commemorative stamp sheetlet containing a set of five newly designed stamps will showcase the fencing, swimming, table tennis, karate, and track cycling events.
“Athletes of the Hong Kong team won six medals -- a gold medal in Men's Foil Individual, silver medals in Women's 200m Freestyle and Women's 100m Freestyle, and bronze medals in Women's Team of table tennis, Women's Kata and Women's Sprint in track cycling -- and achieved the best result ever. The community is proud of these achievements,” the Hongkong Post said.
Hongkong Post also called on stamp lovers to keep an eye out for another new stamp sheetlet, which will commemorate the Hong Kong athletes’ achievements at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The stamp sheetlet will be issued on December 9, with advance ordering available now November 4.
Meanwhile, the Hongkong Post took the opportunity to interview the Olympic medallists, and members of the public are welcome to watch the videos on the Hongkong Post YouTube channel and the "Hongkong Post Stamps"
