Social distancing rules extended for two weeks
Most of Hong Kong's social distancing rules were extended for another two weeks, meaning the group gathering cap of four is still in place.
However, the restriction on the number of persons per training group or class conducted in swimming lanes booked exclusively for training purposes will be removed. The other existing requirements and restrictions applicable to swimming pools will be maintained, including the maximum number of users allowed in a swimming pool based on its capacity.
Requirements and restrictions applicable to catering businesses, bars and pubs, specified premises like party rooms and karaoke establishments will be maintained.
Non-compliance with the relevant directions would be an offense and offenders are subject to a maximum fine of HK$10,000, the government warned.
