Hong Kong's Lion Rock Tunnel launches new electronic toll system, flat rate payments required through detection tags
The Lion Rock Tunnel in Hong Kong has launched a new electronic toll system, with flat rate payments required through detection tags linked to online accounts.
On the first day of implementation, about 46,949 vehicles passed through the tunnel, with 5% of them not having a tag detected.
However, the real test will be during Monday's peak-hour traffic.
