Seoul ranked 2nd best student city, Hong Kong climbs to 12th place: QS report
South Korean capital comes in at second place for the first time in global list ranking 140 cities, while London takes top spot.
Seoul for the first time has been ranked the world’s second-best city for studying abroad, while Hong Kong has risen by three spots to 12th place, according to an annual higher education report.
London took the top spot again, extending its list-topping run to four years, while Munich shared second place with the capital of South Korea. Another city in the United Kingdom, Edinburgh, climbed from 12th to 10th, becoming the only newcomer in the world’s top 10.
The Best Student Cities 2023 report released on Wednesday by Britain-based education information firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranked 140 cities. Of these, 58 marked an improvement in their positions, six remained unchanged, 46 declined and 30 were new entries.
