Airline Fuel Surcharges Reduced for Some Destinations, Hong Kong Airlines Among those to Cut Costs
Several airlines are reducing fuel surcharges for flights to America, Europe, and other destinations starting today, resulting in savings of over HK$400 for a return trip for some routes.
Hong Kong Airlines also reduced fuel surcharges for flights to Asia and the Middle East.
However, fuel surcharges for destinations including the mainland, America, Europe, the Middle East, and South West Pacific will remain at HK$900 per ticket.
The decrease in fuel surcharges may only account for a small part of the total travel costs and is unlikely to significantly affect travel agencies' promotion strategies.
