Richard Li promises to cover injured dancer's medical fees
Richard Li Tzar-kai, chairman of PCCW which is the mother company of MakerVille, promised to cover the medical fees of a dancer who was seriously injured by a gigantic falling screen at boyband Mirror's concert Thursday night.
It is understood that the dancer “Mo” Lee Kai-yin has been undergoing an 8-hour surgery on Friday afternoon after finishing one treating his injured spinal cord.
Sources said he suffered from cerebral hemorrhage and burst fracture at his fourth cervical vertebrae and could be paralyzed from his neck down in the worst-case scenario.
Li said he is highly concerned about the incident at the concert in Hong Kong Coliseum and send his best wishes to Lee, another injured dancer surnamed Cheung and their families.
According to MakerVille's CEO Lo Ting-fai who visited the duo at Queen Elizabeth Hospital early Friday, Cheung sustained scrape wounds and pulled his muscles.
Cheung, accompanied by his family, was discharged from hospital this afternoon, according to Hospital Authority.
