Registration no longer needed for prizes exceeding HK$5 million per HK$10 unit bet: HKJC
The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced on Monday that it would cancel the arrangement for winners of prizes exceeding HK$5 million per HK$10 unit bet to register with the Club.
Winners using cash betting, telephone betting, Electronic Shroff Card transactions and standing instruction services will no longer be required to register with the Club.
The new arrangement takes effect from Tuesday (May 2).
The Club added that the arrangement for winners using Digital Channels or HKJC eWallet remains unchanged as registration had not previously been necessary.
Prizes will be automatically credited to winners’ betting accounts when the dividend is confirmed. Winners of cash bets for a dividend over HK$1 million must collect a cheque for their prizes at the Club’s headquarters building.
