The 25th Hong Kong Marathon, which is set to be held on February 12 next year, announced Monday to raise the quota for participants to 37,000 from 25,000.
In a statement issued by the organisers of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon today, the once-cancelled event will welcome 12,000 more participants.
The newly-added quotas will be granted via ballot to people with their names on the waiting list. They will receive emails this afternoon for details of the ballot.
