More than 20 national and Hong Kong flags put up in North Point for National Day celebrations were found abandoned on the road yesterday, some bearing tire marks.
The flags were found at the junction of Watson Road and Electric Road. Some of their flag poles were also damaged by passing vehicles. A passerby called police at 5.20am. They classified the case as criminal damage.
Police found a total of 12 national flags and 12 Hong Kong flags. No arrest has been made so far.
