Political assistant to SFST tests positive for Covid

The political assistant to the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Julian Ip Chun-lim, has tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) said on Thursday.
Ip last went to work on August 2. He wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He has no recent travel history.

The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Christopher Hui Ching-yu, and the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Joseph Chan Ho-lim, have been taking rapid tests every day and the results are all negative.

The FSTB has conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant offices and arranged for relevant staff members to undergo Covid tests.
