Police hunting driver who fled To Kwa Wan crash scene
The police are looking for a driver who had left the scene of an accident involving a Mercedes-Benz sedan and a taxi near Ma Tau Wai Estate in To Kwa Wan early Thursday morning.
The police were alerted to the scene at around 3 am today that saw the Benz slam into a taxi parked on the slow lane of Ma Tau Chung Road.
The front of the Benz and the rear of the taxi were severely damaged, with the airbags of both vehicles deployed upon impact.
It is understood the driver of the Benz fled the scene on foot after the accident. Passerbys have managed to make a snapshot of the driver and have since relayed the information to officers investigating the accident.
The taxi driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
