A Tesla was intercepted by police while weaving in and out of traffic on the Kwun Tong Bypass early this morning, with the 29-year-old male driver arrested for speeding and dangerous driving.
Officers of the Kowloon East Police District Traffic Department on Sunday morning spotted the
Tesla speeding along the eastbound Kwun Tong Bypass and weaving through cars.
Police intercepted the
tesla on Sau Mau Ping Road near Po Tat Estate and arrested the driver Chan.
The driver has been released on bail and will have to report to the police in mid-April.
According to Hong Kong laws, offenders of speeding and dangerous driving, upon conviction, are subject to a maximum penalty of ten years’ imprisonment, along with their driver’s license revoked, police warned.
