Photographer arrested for sexually attacking model and taking indecent photos
A 38-year-old photographer was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 27-year-old woman and secretly took indecent photos of the woman when shooting in a Chai Wan studio.
The case was reported to police by the woman herself earlier. After in-depth investigations, police soon targeted and arrested the photographer – a 38-year-old man surnamed Leung – on suspicion of indecent assault and unlawful recording and observation of intimate parts.
When making the arrest, police also seized the man's computer and a memory card.
The case came into light after local reports revealed that the young model had her cloths torn apart and her private parts captured by a hidden camera the man placed during the shooting.
Police said they highly value the case and it has been passed to the Eastern district crime squad.
Police also called on citizens to lodge a report and contact the Eastern district police by dialing 3660 1683 if they encountered similar sexual assaults before.
Under Cap 200 Crimes Ordinance, indecent assault and unlawful recording of intimate parts are offenses that could lead to 10 years' and five years' imprisonment, respectively.
