A male pedestrian was hit by a tram and brought under it in Wan Chai.
At around 5pm, the pedestrian was crossing the road near Tai Yau Plaza on Johnston Road when he was hit by the tram.
He became trapped underneath the vehicle and had to be rescued by firemen and police. He was sent to Queen Mary Hospital while sober.
The Transport Department said the part of Johnston Road affected by the accident has since been reopened, and that tram services between Fleming Road and Tonnochy Road have also resumed.
