One more Po Leung Kuk baby dorm worker accused of abuse
Another carer at Po Leung Kuk residential child care service has been accused of abusing a toddler, after a female staff was arrested on Monday for being suspected of abusing six children aged one to three.
The suspected child abuse incident happened at Po Leung Kuk Babies Section in Causeway Bay. During the follow-up investigation yesterday (Tue), officers of the Child Care Centres Advisory Inspectorate of the Social Welfare Department found that one more staff had some inappropriate behaviours toward another toddler.
The new case came to light during the further surveillance camera inspection by Po Leung Kuk and the Department. The victim was sent to a hospital for examination and has returned to the dormitory in good health.
The Social Welfare Department has reported the case to the police for investigation.
