One man arrested for manslaughter in death of a 74-year-old at Tai Kok Tsui elderly home
A 75-year-old man was arrested for manslaughter on Saturday in which a 74-year-old local man died after fighting with the suspect in an elderly home.
The case happened in Tai Kok Tsui last Friday. Police received a report from a staff of an elderly home on Ivy Street at 9.22 pm that the 74-year-old man was fighting barehanded with a 75-year-old man.
The 74-year-old man once fell on the ground during the scuffle. Sustaining no superficial injury, he was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital in a conscious state but was certified dead at 10.06 am yesterday (Mar 18).
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the deceased's cause of death.
