No injury reported after fire starts at Pacific Place supermarket
A fire broke out at a supermarket in Pacific Place, Admiralty, in the early hours of Saturday. It was put out in about 15 minutes, and no injury was reported.
The blaze first started at a refrigerator in the supermarket around 1 am, and the smoke alerted the security guard, who then filed a police report.
Apart from the fridge, the shelves there were also burned and charred.
One water jet and one breathing apparatus team were mobilized to extinguish the fire in about 15 minutes.
After preliminary investigations, firefighters believed the fire occurred because of a short circuit in the LED lights.
Firefighters didn’t find the incident suspicious, and there was no need for an evacuation. No one was injured.
