Nine cross-boundary drivers tested preliminary positive in Covid tests conducted by the Transport Department on Saturday.
The department has arranged rapid nucleic acid tests for cross-boundary goods vehicle drivers at various land boundary control points. A total of 1,639 tests were conducted yesterday in which nine drivers tested positive.

Those cases have been passed to the Department of Health for follow-up. Only drivers who tested negative are allowed to enter the mainland.

Currently, there are three water transportation routes between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Since the launch of services from the three ports from February 18 to yesterday, a total of around 1.13 million tonnes of goods have been transported, of which about 11780 tonnes were fresh food.
