Nicole Kidman leaves Hong Kong as she cuts filming short
Actress Nicole Kidman is reportedly leaving Hong Kong today after she failed to adapt to the local filming environment.
She is taking leave for two months before returning in November.
Kidman attracted controversy earlier after she was allowed to skip quarantine after arriving in Hong Kong to film the Amazon series Expats. She had an argument with director Lulu Wang and could not get used to filming in Hong Kong, local media reported.
Unlike overseas filming, production in Hong Kong takes place in front of pedestrians. She also did not have much space to rest isolated from crowds. Earlier, people were seen watching Kidman while she was filming in Mong Kok.
Kidman's returning to Australia will interrupt the production of the series, as it was scheduled to continue until October or even December.
It is understood that Kidman will head to the United Kingdom to film the movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom before returning to Hong Kong to continue shooting.
