A swimming race across Victoria Harbour will resume this year on December 12, with all participants required to be fully vaccinated.
New World Harbour Race was suspended last year due to the pandemic.
The organizer Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association announced on Tuesday that the race will resume this year as the
Covid-19 outbreak has alleviated. The city's vaccination rate is also approaching 70 percent.
All participants this year will be required to have received two
Covid-19 jabs 14 days before the race.
They also need to show a negative test result to ensure the safety of swimmers and staffers.
Application details will be announced in the end of this month after the association secures the necessary approvals from authorities.
