New testing center at airport to start this Thursday
A new community testing center will be established this Thursday at the airport for its workers to undergo frequent testing.
The center will be located at the Ground Transportation Lounge of the airport. It will commence service from 8am on October 14 (Thursday).
All members of the public are welcome to undergo testing there. They can make online bookings for the testing service starting from 7pm today (Monday).
The government says that it will assist members of the public who work at the airport to undergo testing.
The testing frequency for airport staff was increased last month.
Currently, all airport staff of targeted groups, include those handling high-risk cargo or having unavoidable close-range contact with arrivals, transit passengers and crew, must be fully vaccinated and are required to take a test every seven days.
As for airport staff who are not under the targeted groups, they are also required to take a test every three or 14 days.
“The testing frequency may be increased in future if needed," the government stated.
