MTR to provide overnight service on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
MTR announced Monday that overnight train service on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve would be provided this year to facilitate the public to enjoy the festive celebrations.
MTR said in view of the further relaxation of the pandemic prevention measures by the government, all railway lines (except the Airport Express and Disneyland Resort Line) and seven Light Rail routes (505, 507, 610, 614P, 615P, 706, 751) will provide overnight service on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
MTR Bus routes 506, K51 and K54 will also extend their service time.
“We are very glad that with the further relaxation of the pandemic prevention measures, overnight train service could be resumed in the upcoming Christmas and New Year this year to facilitate passengers going out and sharing the festive joy with family and friends,” said Jeny Yeung Mei-chun, Hong Kong Transport Services Director of MTR Corporation.
